A Tennessee couple is charged with the murder of a five –year-old daughter.
The couple forced the little girl to drink lot of water and soda-forcing her to drink 2 liters of liquid in less than an hour. She drank two grape sodas, which belonged to her stepmother. The couple in question forced her to drink insane amount of liquids as a punishment for drinking the soda that belonged to the stepmother.
She was force-fed so much of liquid that the sodium level in her body fell below normal which caused her brain to swell, resulting in her death.
This had happened in January 2012. The couple had rushed the child to the hospital but she was already brain dead and in two days she was declared dead.
CNN.com reports Randall Lee Vaughn, 41, and his wife, Mary Lavonne Vaughn, 58, have each been charged with first degree murder, two counts of aggravated child neglect and aggravated child abuse.
