Town in Washington State bans body odor

The town of Burien, Washington has banned body odor. Visitors to public places including libraries and parks are not only advised to dress properly and use proper language but also to practice good hygiene habits so other people sharing the public place are not exposed to foul body odor.

Offenders can be banned from using the public places for up to year.

“People will, unfortunately, have such a bodily odor that it’s very hard for other patrons to be in that same space,” Burien City Manager Kamuron Gurol said.
