Newly brunette LiLo's choice of outfit didn't exactly help matters as she wore a buttoned up cream jacket and pleated skirt that looked far suited to members of the older generation.

Meanwhile the former Simple Life star rolled back the years to her teenage reign, wearing a black mini dress with a neon pink print, knee high socks and a braid wrapped into her hair.

Linsday also appeared to have rather generously applied her make-up, lathering on lipstick and eyeliner, when in fact she is naturally pretty without.

It is unknown if Paris and Lindsay made plans to attend the soiree together, yet Hilton failed to mention her on/off friend on Twitter while getting ready for the big night.

She wrote: 'Getting ready to go over to my girl @AllisonMelnick's birthday party. Happy Birthday Allison! Love you so much! Xoxo Paris.'

The girls recently caused a ruckas after attending a house party in Hollywood together the night before Paris flew to Cannes Film Festival in May.

Police were eventually called at 7am as neighbours complained.

It seems the duo have rekindled their friendship after a feud dating back to 2006, when the hotel heiress crudely nicknamed LiLo 'Firecrotch' for exposing herself on nights out without underwear.
