Azharuddin's Son Laid to Rest

Mohammed Ayazuddin, the 19-year-old younger son of former Indian cricket captain and then Lok Sabha MP Mohammed Azharuddin, was laid to rest in Hyderabad after dying of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Ayazuddin was critically injured on September 11, 2011, when his bike crashed at Puppalaguda on Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road. He fought for life in hospital for five days before dying on September 16. His 16-year-old cousin Ajmal-ur-Rahman, who was riding pillion, died of his injuries in the same accident.
The funeral drew family, friends, and well-wishers to Hyderabad, where the young cricketer's life — cut short at nineteen — was mourned far beyond the cricketing world.
