Asha Bhosle to Appear on a Grand Chariot to Receive the Lifetime Achievement Award
Veteran playback singer Asha Bhosle will be felicitated with a lifetime achievement award at an award ceremony.
The 78-year-old singer, who entered the Guinness World Records in 2011 as the most recorded artist in music history (more than 11,000 solo, duet and chorus-backed songs in over 20 languages), will be honoured at the 18th Annual Colors Screen Awards in Mumbai on Saturday for her contribution to Indian music.
Organisers plan to bring Asha on a grand chariot onto the stage to receive the honour, and she is expected to sing some of her favourite numbers for the audience. The event will be telecast on Colors on January 22.
