Kristen Stewart Banned from Rob Pattinson's Movie Premiere

Although Robert Pattinson will attend the New York City premiere of his latest film, Cosmopolis, on Aug. 13, one person will be noticeably missing: Kristen Stewart.

RadarOnline.com reported that Pattinson made it clear Stewart is not welcome — and security has been told not to let her anywhere near the red carpet or the afterparty.

"Despite the fact Robert and Kristen have been communicating by cell phone, she will not be at the Cosmopolis New York premiere," a source said. "Security was briefed and they were told that Kristen is not allowed anywhere near the red carpet or the afterparty."

Rob is not ready to see Kristen after she cheated on him with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders — but that's not the only reason she's reportedly been kept away.

"The decision was made because Robert just doesn't want to see her. There were fears that she could use it as a chance to talk to him in person and that sort of drama is not wanted at the premiere. There's also the fact that if she did attend, it would distract from the film premiere itself and the movie bosses are not interested in that sort of publicity," the source said.

The premiere will be Robert's first public appearance since the scandal broke. Pattinson, 26, has been staying at the Ojai, California, ranch of his friend Reese Witherspoon since Stewart confessed to the affair.

His representative quashed rumors that he had pulled out of future public appearances: "Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting. No confirmed engagements have been cancelled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate."

Stewart, 22, publicly apologized after photographs surfaced of her with the married Sanders, calling it a "momentary indiscretion" and saying she loved and respected Pattinson most of all.

Meanwhile, Sanders' wife Liberty Ross reportedly told her husband he may not direct the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel if he wants to win her back.
