Chai, Chat With Books: A Naperville Reading Circle Is Born

Chai, Chat With Books is a small book club — eight women who share their passion for reading over a cup of tea and plenty of chaat and snacks. For its members, the meeting is a break from the daily grind: an afternoon to argue about endings, trade recommendations, and talk books with people who love them as much as they do.

The club is one of many such circles in the Chicago suburbs, where reading groups have become a fixture of community life — part literary discussion, part excuse to get together, and entirely about the pleasure of a shared story.

No grand ambitions, no manifesto. Just eight readers, a pot of chai, and the next book on the list.
