2 Women camping in front of Best Buy for Black Friday Deals-22 days ahead !
Vicky Torres and Juanita Salas pitched tents outside the Beaumont, California Best Buy three weeks before Thanksgiving 2014 — all to land a Black Friday TV
Two California women arrived at the Beaumont Best Buy in 2014 to begin their annual camp-out — 22 days ahead of the Black Friday sales rush.
Vickey Torres of Cabazon and Juanita Salas of Beaumont set up camp outside the electronics store for the "last few years" running, taking turns going home to shower and eat. Their plan: spend the full three weeks outside in hopes of landing the best deals in the infamous "first come, first served" Thanksgiving-night rush.
"We could have started later, but then we wouldn't be sure to get first in line," Torres said. "They only get a few items at the cheaper prices and it's first come, first served."
At the time of reporting, Best Buy's Black Friday deals had yet to be released — but the pair said they were ultimately after a good deal on a television.
"Some people say we're crazy," said Torres, adding that such comments don't bother her in the least.
