The S26 Ultra runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. Its 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display hits 2600 nits peak brightness with anti-reflective glass protection, according to Samsung.

The camera system is where reviewers are pausing. A 200MP primary sensor pairs with a 50MP telephoto offering 5x optical zoom and 10x optical-quality zoom. Low-light performance, per early reviews at TechRadar, is "everything you could want."

The privacy display

The standout feature nobody expected: the world's first mobile Privacy Display, which dims screen visibility from side angles. In an era where shoulder-surfing is a genuine security concern, it's a practical innovation dressed up in premium hardware.

The price question

With flagship Android pricing typically north of $1,200, the S26 Ultra isn't for everyone. But for power users, photographers, and anyone running their business from their phone, it's a serious machine.
