Second suspect in the child rape caught

Police arrested a second suspect in the alleged rape of a five-year-old girl in Gandhi Nagar, East Delhi, in April 2013.

The suspect, identified as Pradeep Kumar, was detained in Bihar and brought to Delhi. Police had earlier arrested Manoj Kumar Sah, who lived in the same building as the child's family, in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

The child, who had been found locked in a room in her family's building on April 17, was undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where doctors said her condition was improving.

Both men remained in police custody as the investigation continued, and police said further arrests were possible.
